Wendy Sydlewski, MD, DDS

Team Member

First, Dr. Sydlewski is not only licensed as an orthodontist, she is also a medical doctor. This means that she has four years of medical school education beyond what most orthodontists have, and six years of doctoral level education beyond what general dentists have. In addition, she has undergraduate background in Speech Pathology and Audiology.

These qualifications are important, because orthodontic problems can have many levels of complexity. The orthodontic care Dr. Sydlewski provides takes into consideration not only the teeth and how they are aligned, but also palate and jaw position, growth patterns in the face, speech, and related medical issues.

Dr. Sydlewski graduated at the top of her dental school class in 1991, and at the top of her medical school class in 2004. She has been awarded the Minnesota Association of Orthodontic Achievement Award, is a member of both the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontics, and is a former faculty member in the University of Minnesota’s orthodontic residency program.

This means that at Signature Orthodontics, you don’t just get an orthodontist. You get the person who’s taught other people to be orthodontists.

Is your Signature Smile worth anything less?
